Ludlow Cycling Support Group was set up in September 2007 by a group of local volunteers who were keen to encourage cycling as part of everyday life and get more people cycling more often.

ABOUT US The Group’s Cycling Manifesto for Ludlow , published in February 2008, has received support from many local organisations, including Ludlow Town Council. Our full Cycle Plan to make Ludlow and its environs more cycle-friendly has now been published, in conjunction with Shropshire Council. Follow the link at the bottom of this page to read our plan. The Group’s campaign had a boost in March with the arrival of Ludlow’s first Advanced Stop Lines (ASLs). The group is affiliated to Ludlow 21 and CTC and has the support of Shropshire Council's Cycling Officer and of Sustrans , the national sustainable transport charity. We attend the meetings of the Shropshire Cycle Forum in Shrewsbury, where a recent presentation about our activities met with considerable support and enthusiasm. Other News 20mph for Ludlow - we are campaigning for 20mph in all residential streets in Ludlow as we believe it will make life safer and more pleasant for everyone - residents, pedestrians, cyclists and other road users including motorists. Ludlow Cycling Support Group aims to encourage, promote and develop cycling as a safe, healthy and popular means of transport within Ludlow and its environs. This mission forms part of a larger initiative to help build a sustainable transport structure in the area that will reduce the carbon footprint for local travel and make a positive contribution to reducing climate change.
